And East Buckeye’s close proximity to both commercial and natural areas makes it a versatile neighborhood. Orlando Bell Park, located along East Buckeye’s south border, spans 13 acres for neighbors to enjoy soccer fields, basketball courts, playground equipment and open fields. Additionally, a greenway that extends from East Buckeye’s north border empties into Droster Park. There, neighbors enjoy open space, athletic fields and playground equipment.

Residential development began in East Buckeye in the late 1970s and continued throughout the ‘90s. There are no commercial areas within East Buckeye’s borders, and an intelligent street design further reduces traffic. Homes here are often built on cul-de-sacs that offer quiet streets and familiar neighbors. East Buckeye offers a great deal of versatility in its housing options. Homes positioned on the west side of the neighborhood are often listed for less than the median listing price, and homes on the east side of the neighborhood are typically listed above the median price. East Buckeye may be a quiet residential neighborhood, but its central location makes all the amenities of Madison easily within reach. Downtown Madison is about seven miles west of East Buckeye, and East Town Mall, the most popular commercial area on Madison’s east side, is less than six miles north. Sun Prairie, meanwhile, is about 10 miles north of the neighborhood, and Cottage Grove is five miles east. Close proximity to Interstate 90, Stoughton Road and East Washington Avenue also makes for an easy commute from East Buckeye in any direction.
