Renters once occupied most of Bridge-Lakepoint’s residential area, but that’s changed over the years. Today, the neighborhood strikes a perfect balance of owner-occupied and renter-occupied housing. Rental units are located along the community’s south West Broadway Avenue border, and single-family homes are primarily located in the north portion of the neighborhood. The Bridge-Lakepoint Neighborhood Center, which was spearheaded by neighbors, offers valuable programming for children, adults and families. It also provides a space for neighbors on Madison’s south side to gather.

Hilldale Mall is about eight miles west, and West Towne mall is about nine miles west of the community. Surrounding communities are nearby, too. Verona is about 11 miles south of Bridge-Lakepoint, and Fitchburg is about six miles west.
