Bluff Acres is a quiet residential neighborhood centrally located on Madison’s east side. Interstate 94 and East Washington Avenue border the neighborhood, which makes downtown Madison and surrounding communities a short commute away. Closer to home, more than 120 acres of parkland and green space are within walking distance of Bluff Acres. Sandburg Elementary School is located at the heart of the neighborhood. It unfolds into Sandburg Park and Sandburg Woods, where neighbors enjoy 50 acres of green space, rolling oaks and wildflowers. Reidhal Park, located along Bluff Acres’ southern border, covers 90 acres. There, neighbors enjoy tennis courts, soccer fields,basketball courts, a splash park, playground equipment and a cricket court.

Cottage Grove is about seven miles east of Bluff Acres. The neighborhood is in close proximity to major traffic arteries in the area like Interstate 90, East Washington Avenue and Highway 151, which simplifies the commute in all directions. Sandburg Elementary School is just east of Portage Road within the community’s borders.
