Where to Take the Family for Pumpkins This Fall

The Madison area offers plenty of great pumpkin patches for the entire family. There are some great places to get your pumpkins and enjoy lots of fun, too. Let's look at some of the top farms and orchards to visit this fall near Madison.

1. Enchanted Valley Acres

If you're closer to Cross Plains, this is a great option for your pumpkins and fall fun. They offer two giant slides, corn mazes, wagon rides, and plenty of pumpkins to enjoy. There are tons of activities in the Big Red Barn, as well.

Enjoy the jump pad, solve the corn maze, sip on delicious drinks and enjoy other concessions. They have lots of pumpkins and plenty of flowers to enjoy, too. Enchanted Valley Acres is known as one of the top spots in Dane County for family fun and entertainment.

This farm will be open from September 10th to October 30th. In September, they are open on Saturdays and Sundays. In October, they are open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, along with October 20th and October 27th. The hours will be from 9am to 6pm each day the farm is open. Admission ranges from $12.50 to $14.50, depending on the day and you can get a season pass for $35 per person.

2. EpleGaarden

Found in Fitchburg, this is the place to go for U-pick fresh apples and pumpkins. You will also find caramel apples, apple cider, lots of donuts, and more here.

You can visit from 9am to 1pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. They are also open from 9am to 5pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There is no admission fee to get into the farm and plenty of acres of apples for picking.

3. Treinen Farm

If you're near Lodi, you can enjoy an award-winning corn maze at Treinen Farm this fall. Th ere is a smaller maze for the younger children, along with hiking trails, pumpkins, outdoor play areas, and goats. The corn maze was actually voted as one of the top ten in the country by USA Today!

This farm will be open from September 3rd to November 6th starting at 9am and closing at either 7pm or 10pm, depending on the day of the week. Check the website for actual days they are open and the correct hours. Admission is $12.95 to $14.95 per person.

4. Schuster's Farm

Found in Deerfield, this is a great place if you want to get your pumpkins and enjoy some fun with the kids. They have an eight-acre corn maze, barnyard animals, playscapes, and more. There will also be a Haunted Forest and a bonfire at night during the fall.

This farm will be open from September 17th to October 31st. The hours vary and they are open seven days a week. The cost to enjoy the farm fun will also vary based on the day.
