Just like other events, the Dane County Fair for 2020 was canceled, but the good news is that it is back. The event will be held in July, but with Covid-19 measures in place. The event is set to take place in Madison at Alliant Energy Center on July 15^th – 18^th.

Dane County will be partnering with the Fair to bring back the tradition to the people. Several changes should be expected as they are necessary to ensure that the attendees are protected from Covid-19. The changes will be affected in the different event elements ranging from entertainment, vendors, to project displays.

Online Dane County Fair

As aforementioned, the Dane County Fair will have a few changes and may not be exactly like the preceding events. Hosting the event during Covid times calls for creative execution to ensure social distancing. That said, if you do not feel comfortable attending the fair physically, you can follow the events online.

Youth projects will be documented in advance, and you will also get to enjoy a youth talent showcase from the comfort of your homes.

Event dates and time

The events will kick off from Thursday to Sunday from 9:00 am. The venue for the 2021 Dane County Fair is 1919 Alliant Energy Way, Madison, WI 53713. The fair will be running till late in the night, that is 11:00 pm from Thursday to Saturday and 10:00 pm on Sunday.

The attendance is projected to be around 45,000, but there is still no mention of how many food booths there will be.

Activities

Expect a wide range of activities in the fair, suitable for kids and even adults. There will be delightful carnival rides like the Ferris wheel. The best part is that during the fair, there will be special rides from noon to the close hours of the fair. What does this mean?

Attendees get to enjoy unlimited rides for only $30.

Also, part of the entertainment will include shows such as Lady Houdini. Kids particularly love the skilled illusionist and magician. Provided you are admitted to the fair, you will not have to pay more for this activity. Make plans for Lady Houdini’s show which will be taking place at 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 5:00 pm daily in the fair.

Chicken Wire Empire main stage entertainment. This is an activity that you do not want to miss. From the band, you can expect quality performance featured by modern songwriting also featured by classic songs. The band’s performance will kick off at 7:00 pm on Thursday.

What is a fair without amazing food? The Dane County Fair will be graced with a wide range of delicacies. We are talking about baked potatoes, burgers, grilled chicken, hot dogs, corn dogs, cakes, and a wide range of refreshments.

There will also be tons of other vendors selling kitchenware, bikes, clothes, jewelry, and much more. There will be everything for everyone and you will get an opportunity to eat your most delicious food.

Expect thousands of youth exhibits and refreshing activities in 2021.
