Top Madison Area Pumpkin Patches & Orchards for Fall 2019
Fall is nearly here and it's time to enjoy carving pumpkins, trick-or-treating, apple picking, and so much more. Many residents in Madison live for the fall and absolutely love the colors, the temperatures, and the events. Of course, this is also the time of year to take the kids to the pumpkin patches and the orchards throughout the area.
If you're looking for a great place to enjoy plenty of fall fun, a good pumpkin patch and orchard may be the perfect option. Here are some of the best options throughout the Madison area.
Offering a corn maze, pumpkin patch, wagon rides, and so much more Treinen Farm becomes a very popular spot during the fall season. You can pick a pumpkin, get lost in the award-winning maze, enjoy plenty of goodies and even take a horse-drawn hayride through the countryside. No matter your age, you'll enjoy the time you spend at Treinen Farm.
The farm offers plenty of hay bales for kids to climb, caramel apples to enjoy, a climbing wall for kids to enjoy, a tractor tire playground, and so much more. You can spend the entire day here and still not do everything they offer.
For those looking to enjoy a bit of a fright, they also offer Zompocalypse on Saturday, October 26th. This event allows you to come in your best zombie attire and enjoy plenty of terrifying fun!
They will be open through November 10th on Saturdays from 10am to 10:30pm and Sundays from 10am to 6:30pm. The farm is also open on Fridays through October 25th from 3pm to 10:30pm.
The largest pumpkin farm found in Wisconsin, Waldvogel's Farm offers plenty of fun if you're looking for a great pumpkin patch. It's found in Juneau, WI, which is a bit of a drive from Madison, but this farm is worth it!
They offer special weekend entertainment and events, caramel apples, all kinds of sweet treats, and over 60 weekend attractions to enjoy. Attractions include:

With more than 60 varieties of apples, Lakacek's Orchard is one of the top choices for apples in the fall near Madison. It's located in Poynette, WI and offers pre-picked apples throughout the season.
While they don't offer pick-your-own apples, they do offer pick-your-own pumpkins. You can also enjoy apple cider donuts on Saturdays and Sundays, along with huge caramel apples, self-guided walking tours, a photo scavenger hunt, and plenty of other fun activities.
Anderson's Pleasant Patch Pumpkins
An excellent choice with plenty of fun through Halloween, Anderson's Pleasant Pumpkin Patch has plenty of great pumpkins to choose from. They are open for pick-your-own pumpkins from 11am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays starting on September 28. They also offer a haunted house, and a hiking trail you can enjoy.
