A Guide to the Madison Area Libraries - Part 2 (Sun Prairie & Stoughton)
With so many libraries throughout Madison, we had to split this list into a blog series with five parts. This is part 2 of the series and offers a look at the Sun Prairie and Stoughton Public Libraries.

Sun Prairie Public Library
The Sun Prairie Public Libraries offers plenty of events and programs all throughout the year. They have plenty of things to do for kids of all ages and even some good adult programs.
The TumbleBookLibrary Children's EBooks offers an online resource for kids to enjoy. In addition, the library offers events, such as the Dream Bus Bash and A Universe of Stories. They have reading programs for the school year and for the summer for all ages.
Storytime is offered year-round with times specific to each season. These programs include Toddler Tales, Baby & Me, Small Fry Lapsit Storytime, and more.
Teens can enjoy the Great Teen Reads option at the Sun Prairie Public Library. They can also enjoy plenty of other programs, such as Teen Gaming, Teen Creativity Club and the Teen Book Club.
Even adults can enjoy the Sun Prairie Public Library. There are programs to help with technology and computers, along with services for music and plenty of book and film discussion groups.
The Sun Prairie Public Library is located at 1350 Linnerud Drive in Sun Prairie. They are open from 9am to 9pm, Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 6pm on Fridays, and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays. During the school year, they are open from 1pm to 5pm on Sundays, as well.
Stoughton Public Library
Those living in Stoughton can enjoy the many options offered by the Stoughton Public Library. They offer programs for all ages including adults. You'll even find Family Movie Afternoons held here on a regular basis.
Children can enjoy plenty of great programs, such as the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and Story Time. The library also offers special programs throughout the year and a Summer Library Program for children.
Teens have some really cool events they can attend at this library, including events like the Mafia and Taco Bar for Teens. The library also holds a Teen Paint Party and even has a Teen Advisory Board to help ensure teens get plenty of great events to enjoy.
Adult programs at the library include a Craft Club, Page Turners, Thursdays with Murder, and more. There are several programs for adults to enjoy, no matter their age.
The Stoughton Public Library is located at 304 South Fourth Street in Stoughton. They are open from 9am to 9pm, Monday through Thursday and from 9am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday. During the school year, they are also open on Sundays from 1pm to 5pm.
